Why choose a Freelance Web Developer

The main advantage of choosing a freelancer over a large company is costs. Most freelance web developers work independantly, often from home and have few overheads. A larger company will have premises, sales staff, support staff and will charge a much higher hourly rate.

Many of the larger web development companies outsource work to freelance web developers, but this can cause communication delays when your point of contact doesn't have the technical skills necessary to answer your questions.

You may be concerned that a freelance web developer may not always be around. Fortunately, most have already worked for larger companies and decided it's not for them so it's unlikely they'll return to the 9 to 5 office job.

Staff turnover in internet companies is high, and it takes some time for new employees to familiarise themselves with you and your business. With a freelancer, you know you'll always have the same point of contact.

Graphic Design

I'm not a web designer!

I have an eye for detail but when it comes to designing from scratch, I know my limitations.

Whenever my work calls for design skills, Dorota, Geoff and / or Jack are called upon to help.
